Favorite Module: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight

Favorite System: Fiasco!

I was introduced to tabletop role playing games through a planned one shot session that did indeed wrap up and end after one session as planned and never met again. Despite the great fun and narrative bow I was far from satisfied, and ten years later that’s still true.

One of my favorite systems are Fiasco! for how easy it is to play spur of the moment once you understand the basics due to needing no prep or gm to run any of thousands of community written playsets.

I tend towards a more whimsical and comedic play style, but I can keep a focused pace when the table demands. I love the laughs and I’m in it for the role play but I also think it’s more satisfying to win when you follow the rules.

Favorite System: Dungeons and Dragons 5e

I got started in TTRPG’s in sophomore year of high school in the 4th edition of Dungeons & Dragons. After my DM graduated and bequeathed me the role, I have been running games ever since.

I have run and played games in many different systems, but D&D is always my go-to. Though Daggerheart is currently giving it a run for its money!

My style as a DM is very flexible, though I do prefer relaxed and casual roleplay-focused groups. I have run games with very direct and build-focused gamers, and games where it took a whole session to move 90 feet because of distractions. I have worked with players who have never played and with players who have double my experience.

The most important aspect for a successful game is everyone being on the same page about what is fun, which is why Session Zero and the safety tools established within are very important for a fun long lasting game.
